We have compiled a list of FAQ’s to help our guests with some concerns that arise before booking, this page is updated on a regular basis according to the questions we are asked. Is WiFi free in the room?
We have recently revamped our WiFi and media selection to include free WiFi in all rooms and public areas of the hotel.
Do you have any additional taxes that I should know about?
A €0.50 eco-tax per person per night will be payable at the hotel. This is in line with local legislation. Please note that the tax is applicable to anyone over the age of 18 years +.
What are the nearest beaches and sandy beaches to the hotel?
The blue flag status St. Georges bay is a 10min walk from the hotel Please visit this link for images. We highly recommend taking a bus ride to Golden Bay in the north of the island and staying for sunset.
What is the nearest shopping centre to the hotel?
The hotel is within a short work from the Bay Street Shopping complex in St. Julian’s, the complex hosts a wide number of outlets, restaurants and family entertainment.
How far are the main bus stops from the hotel and how can we plan our destination?
The bus station with all main routes is a very short walk from the hotel. You can plan your trip by visiting the Transport Malta website: www.publictransport.com.mt or asking a member of the Front Desk staff at the hotel.
Will my child need a car seat when using a taxi or hiring a car?
Children under the age of three years are strictly prohibited from travelling in any light passenger vehicle or commercial vehicle that is not fitted with seat belts and child restraint systems that are suitable for the children’s weight in accordance with the requirements established in the Motor Vehicles (Wearing of Seat Belts) Regulations (S.L. 65.12).
What plug sockets do you offer?
The Maltese Islands follows the British standard three-pin rectangular plug system. The electrical supply is 230 volts /- 10% and the frequency of supply is 50 hertz.
Is WiFi easy to find around the island?
Yes it is, all public parks offer free public Wi-Fi along with most bars and restaurants. The airport also offers free public Wi-Fi so make sure to update facebook as soon as you land :) 4G coverage around the island is generally very good.
Do you offer parking?
Yes we do! A car park is available under the hotel at the rate of €8 per day. Please note that spaces are limited and is subject to availability. Alternatives are available within a short walking distance to the hotel.
Do you offer tea and coffee making facilities in guest rooms?
Each room comes with tea and coffee making facilities and includes English breakfast and herbal tea along with normal and decaf coffee.
Can you recommend any restaurants in the local area?
Sure we can, Please ask beforehand via facebook or at the Front Desk while at the hotel.
Can you recommend any good vegetarian or vegan restaurants locally?
Madu Street Food Fusion offers all day healthy, vegetarian & vegan options. Establishments around the island tend to change on a frequent basis so it is best to ask near the time of your arrival.
How far is the pharmacy from the hotel?
The hotel is within 5 minutes walk from two pharmacies that have a resident doctor on call. Should you require a doctor or medical attention the hotel can arrange this for you.
Gozo Ferry and timetable
The Gozo ferry operates a service between Cirkewwa Malta and Mgarr Gozo on a frequent basis. For more information and timetable please visit. www.gozochannel.com

Private hospitals
St. James in Sliema is a very short distance from the hotel http://www.stjameshospital.com
ATM Machine
You will find many ATM’s scattered around Malta and around the hotel. All the ATM”s are in English and accept all major credit cards.
Walking distance to Sliema Ferry
The pleasant walk along the seafront will take you around 40mins. Alternatively you take one of the many buses from near the hotel.
Supermarket/Post office
Arkadia the nearest supermarket to the hotel is 5mins walk away and is open everyday from 8am – 10pm.
The post office is just across the street from the hotel.
What ways do you suggest exchanging currancy so we do not lose out on the exchange rate?
If you are a frequent traveller then we suggest looking at services such as CurrencyFair.
Are the pools open to non residents of the hotel?
Being a small hotel, we strictly reserve both pools for our residents throughout the year.
